We’re playing in Shenzhen tomorrow at a brand new club! PSYCHED to be playing in a new club in Shenzhen but even MORE excited that we are working with our good friend Mu Gua again…the last time he organized a show for us in Shenzhen it was packed full of people because he works his ass off to promote the show! This time he has done it again and it always means so much when OTHER people besides the band members themselves go out of their way to do something for us…means so much…
Go to our WEIBO to find the address…
See you tomorrow if you can come out!
CANNOT BELIEVE that in 2 weeks Sick of it All will be in Hong Kong…HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!!!!
So my daughter has been crying for the past 2 nights…I don’t think I’ve ever had such a pounding headache before…6:30am and I need to get to work now…teaching 20 6 year olds…this is going to suck…
Yeah…this was a fucking awesome night! We started 2013 putting on a show and opening for our good friends in Canadian hardcore band called Comeback Kid. We had a great time putting on their show way back in 2009 (or 8 can’t remember)…they were humble as fuck then, and they were humble as fuck this time around too. It was cool to see Andrew, Kyle, Jeremy and Matt again and cool to see Stu (formerly of Misery Signals) back in Hong Kong. Though they were tired as fuck from a week of touring Asia – Asian touring always means waking up super early to get a flight to the next destination. By the time the last few dates come around, band members start to look fucking haggard hahahaha…they didn’t look pretty!
But to hear their songs LIVE one more time…always gets me quite emotional…screaming certain words that got me through a bunch of shit (especially King Ly Chee related shit) is always a moving experience…screaming the words “don’t lose hope” for example when we keep losing drummers and other members…
Then Andrew also got on stage and sang his part in On the Road with us! SOOOOOO fucking awesome!
Watch it below and please help us spread the word!
Tonight me and some of the show organizers for Sick of it All are going out on to the streets to glue SOIA posters on the streets! Can’t wait!
Oh my god…
I am SOOOO sorry that I have neglected this website all year…the last time I made a post was fucking Dec 20th!
Anyway…the shit that has happened this year has been incredible…we started the year off with opening with our good friends in Comeback Kid. It was so good to see those dudes again and when I picked them up from the airport, it was just like seeing old high school friends again. I stuck my hand out to shake their hands, but they’re all like fuck that – let’s get a hug! Hardcore’s ethos about friendship is so important…to stay REAL and be REAL. We’re all in hardcore doing something for it, so if you’re also involved in hardcore somehow, you will always try to get in touch and get to know each other…I love hardcore…
What’s happening now is that we’re all getting ready to play with my heroes of hardcore…SICK OF IT ALL…I still can’t believe this band is finally coming into Hong Kong. I still remember when I first heard them when I was 13…a skateboarding friend of mine passed their CD “blood, sweat and no tears” to me along with Bad Religion’s “No Control” and I was hooked on this crazy world of punk/hardcore. I stayed SUPER metal during my high school years though – but I had gotten a view of hardcore that I had never gotten by metal bands.
So in honor of them coming – the band that got me into hardcore…I have organized a photo exhibition to celebrate Sick of it All through photography. I have gotten tons of photos from photographers all over the world who had the pleasure of taking photos of this band. Armand of Sick of it All also sent me some personal photos which means a lot because he took the time out to scan some of those pics in! Amazing…legendary band but STILL so hands on!
Photo Exhibition – March 9th – 6pm…FREE ENTRY and we’ll have a BBQ and drinks for all y’all! Come on down and hang out…meet other hardcore kids in Hong Kong and get to know each other!
Sick of it All – March 12 – LIVE IN HONG KONG…have nothing else to say but that you MUST be there!
Here’s all the info about the show and photo exhibition: https://www.facebook.com/events/125547830947887/?fref=ts
See you all there! Will try to post more often!

March 28 – WITH LMF!!! WHAT THE FUCK!?!?! Can’t wait! More info soon…
It’s been a LONG ass time since I’ve updated this page! Sorry about that…but none of the other guys have done either!
We’ve been crazy busy…we’ve been workin on our 4th drummer for the year right now. His name is Wing and he plays in a band called The Priceless Boat. We just played our first show with him and it was fun as fuck! It was at a youth center in Tin Shui Wai area of HK and the show was special because they tried to invite some local minorities (Pakistanis!!!) who live in that area. In the end I think they were able to only get like 10 or 15 Pakistanis to attend but it was still fun to see them at a KLC show. I’ve always wanted that to happen but have never been able to get into the areas where the poorer Pakistanis actually live to promote the shows and our band…
A couple days ago we announced 2 massive pieces of news…the biggest is that we’ve won a special award in China! US! Can you believe that? We’re so grateful to the great people behind MIDI for recognizing our efforts these past 13 years and thinking that we’re a band that deserves an award! And the award they gave us is “Hard Rock Band of 2012″! That is INCREDIBLE!!!
The other piece of news is that our good friends in Comeback Kid are returning to Hong Kong on Jan 27!!! Stoked!!!
See you all then!

Our online store is LIVE right now homies!!! Go nuts…please help us spread the word!!!
This is great news for minorities in Hong Kong! The only way that minorities can stop being ignored and marginalized, is when we take matters into our own hands and create our own future. The government will not look after us, we must do it. I’m SOO proud of this guy! And this makes our useless government look even more like shit and disappointing. They can’t do anything for us because we’re not an important group for them to put any emphasis or energy on. 對我地香港的少數民族來說，這個新聞太正啊! 我們政府一直忽視我們少數民族的很嚴重的問題。。。所以我們少數民族只可以靠自己。這位人士能考上本地大學是讓我們感到自豪! 靠自己能考上! AWESOME! Fuck我們無用的政府。希望他能繼續合格和成功做中醫!
We just played a show a few days ago…pretty decent show – good turnout…but the main reason the show was awesome – was because we have about 10 or so hardcore kids in Hong Kong who came out and displayed and represented hardcore the best way possible: singing along, dancing, moshing, two-stepping, it was great to see them…yes – the number sucks…10-or-so…but I’m so proud that these guys/girls are involved, and choose to BE involved not by standing in the fucking back and folding their hands…but dancing and moving around in the front regardless of how few other people are moving.
It was awesome to see them again…
Can’t wait for the next show now!
今天全世界的straight edge人年年會慶祝“Edge節” – 所以”Edge節“快樂! Happy Edge Day to all our straight edge homies all over the world!
I’ve been “straight edge” my whole life – some people may not agree that anyone could be straight edge their “whole life” because we don’t actually know about “straight edge” when we’re born. But the reason I say that I’ve been straight edge my whole life is that, from birth until now (36 this year) I have never drank, smoked or done drugs. I am proud of this fact even though I only started calling myself straight edge in high school. I am proud of the fact that when I was in high school and all my friends were doing drugs and drinking, that something in mind said “Nope – I don’t want to do this”. At the time the 2 things that kept me FROM doing drugs or drinking was skateboarding and music. For skateboarding, I just didn’t want anything to stop me from skateboarding and I was watching all my good friends who used to be good at skateboarding start drinking and then they all started to SUCK at skateboarding. I didn’t want to do anything like that…
I have never pushed my straight edge beliefs on anyone. King Ly Chee is NOT a straight edge band. I know quite a lot of people that have seen the way I live my life, learn about straight edge, and then decided to become straight edge. But I’ve also seen many people who’ve tried being straight edge for a few months, and then give it up because drinking is such a big part of local culture.
It doesn’t matter whether you are or not – what matters is that you are proud of WHO you are…whatever that is! If you’re not proud of who you are, then fucking change. Life is too short…
Alright – I’m off…
Peace and happy edge day!!!
Here’s our setlist for this Sunday’s show with Twisted Machine at Hidden Agenda!
