Dr. Eggs touring the US
Oh…by the way…還有。。。
Yesterday I also received an email by HK/French band Dr. Eggs who are touring the US the first week of July and they are inviting me to play guitar for them on this tour. I would love to do it…but I have a daughter PLUS, I’m saving my first ever “tour” of the US for King Ly Chee
昨天收到一個很有趣的email…是從一個香港/法國樂隊叫Dr. Eggs. 他們七月將會去美國巡演 – 他們邀請了幫他們談吉他！我平時會非常高興 – 但是我剛有個女兒。。。還有，我第一次去美國巡演一定是跟荔枝王…Either way – it was very nice that someone would specifically ask me to come and play for them on a US tour! 反正，他們是一隊好厲害的樂隊 – 你們可以下面的視頻享受他們其中一首!

Hardcore Help Foundation
It’s been a strange few days…and I mean that in regards to everything. 這幾天心裡有些奇怪的感覺。。。對很多東西都有點兒怪感覺。
We had a good show in Guangzhou – but later that night I had some strange thoughts and feelings…I’d like to think that they’ve gotten better but I have no idea what I’m thinking right now. 廣州演出雖然好玩 – 但是我還記得那個晚上差不多兩點鍾左右，我開始有些奇怪感覺。我以為過幾天應該會變正常。。。但是現在還是很奇怪。
Don’t worry – this is a blog and I always try to be as honest as possible on this thing. I think this is one of the things that gets me in the most trouble and has been the biggest flaw of King Ly Chee. That I’m too honest and so tons of people don’t like us (especially don’t like me) for this reason. I was even thinking, what if this band actually did end one day – how many people in Hong Kong would even care? And why would they care? There’s no reason…just because we’ve done stuff to help the heavy music climate in Hong Kong doesn’t really mean much to most people here. 放心 – 在這個日記我通常就是很誠實 – 所以我一有什麼想法我就寫或者說。我覺得我這樣的態度是其他人最不喜歡 – 我還是覺得是因為我是這樣所以十分多人不喜歡我也不喜歡我們的樂隊。我這幾天也想過，如果這個樂隊真的需要一天結束 – 在香港有誰會想我們？肯定沒有或者是十分少人。雖然我們為了Hardcore和重型音樂的發展付出了很多，但是後來 – 都沒有那麼多人喜歡我和我們所以他們也不絕的我們付出的有什麼值得欣賞。我懂了他們的想法。
It’s all about relationships and the connections that you make with people. I think that will be my biggest regret that I didn’t keep some of my thoughts to myself, and instead sacrificed those relationships by being honest about each other’s bands etc…我還覺得我最後悔的應該是有些想法和感覺我應該不說出來。這樣我應該可以保留多點關係。
Whatever…I’m here in this predicament now and in this band I think my bro Joe knows me best and knows that I’ve tried to change as much as possible. Brian has been in the band the next longest (joined in 07) so he also knows that I have changed since those days. I’m SURE he thinks I haven’t changed enough though. But that’s a different story. 反正。。。我是在這個情況。在這個樂隊最瞭解到我就是我兄弟Joe. 他也知道我已經想改自己 – 也改了很多地方。。。Brian是另外一個成員見到那方面有改 – 但是我知道他肯定會說 – 我改的地方還是不夠好。
Anyway…
Then I get an amazing email from this AWESOME organization called Hardcore Help Foundation who is inviting us put a song on their CD sampler that’s coming out at the end of the year. This is a great organization that through hardcore tries to raise money to then help people in need all over the world. Huge bands have worked together with them like Anti-Flag, Biohazard, etc…and they’ve invited us to put a song on their CD. It’s a big deal and I’m really proud that they’ve even heard of us…有這樣的想法的時候 – 人已經好灰。但是突然收到一個很好的email…讓我記得 – 其實，雖然在香港我有很多錯過的東西，但是香港外面還是越來越多人欣賞我們。今天早上一個特牛逼慈善組織叫Hardcore Help Foundation突然發個email給我們邀請我們參加他們年底的組合CD! 他們將會用這個CD raise錢特意出去幫無辜的國家和地方和人。。。他們是一班hardcore得人來開始一個很有意義的組織! 我們十分proud他們有找我們參加他們的活動。。。Hardcore永遠不只是音樂方式。。。hardcore的意思是比音樂深很多。

Today I’m going to meet a tattoo artist for my arm! Very excited about that…can’t wait to get it done. I’m a first grade teacher during the day time so I can’t do my entire arm like Joe has, but I will get a half sleeve and I’m excited to see what it’ll look like! The only thing I can say is that it has to do with my Pakistani heritage…今天下班之後我約了一個好棒的紋身師傅談我新紋身。這個紋身將會在我的top arm到。只能跟大家說 – 紋身會尊重我巴基斯坦的背景

Guangzhou done
Yo,
We’re back from Guangzhou and had a great time as always…昨天我們回來了香港！廣州演出當然又是非常好玩。。。
My favorite parts of the show were 我最喜歡的幾個重點:
1. All the different King Ly Chee shirts that people were wearing! I thought that was SOOOO cool to see so many different people in Guangzhou wearing proudly our different t-shirts…演出裡見到好多支持者穿着不同的KING LY CHEEt恤！見到他們穿那些衣服真的讓我十分開心！
2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that CNHC got a MUCH bigger reaction then Refuse! That means officially – we do not need to play that song anymore! YES!!! We already stopped playing this song in Hong Kong and not a SINGLE person misses that song…so HAPPY that we are finally OVER that era. 我最喜歡的事情就是我們玩新歌的反應全部是比玩”拒絕”和”亞洲起義”好十分多! 多謝！！！為什麼我那麼開心？因為我已經好多年不想玩“拒絕”這首歌 – 我們在香港已經差不多一年多沒有玩過 – 在北方更加不需要玩。。。現在見到我們在廣州演CNHC然後見到全部一起來發火/stagedive/mosh/大合唱然後玩Refuse拒絕的時候沒有那麼多人一起來唱 – 我真開心！哈哈哈。。。
3. That all our new songs have more and more people singing along…love it – all our hard work singing in Mandarin has really been one of the best things we could’ve ever done. 我們所有新歌有很多人認識歌詞！對我來說 – 我那麼辛苦學好普通話的歌詞然後要背，然後上台跟你們唱見到好多人特意出來拿我mic幫我唱 – 真awesome!!!!!
What I thought was weird was that I didn’t see any old faces at the show…it seemed like everyone was brand new to shows in Guangzhou. A little sad that our “older” supporters didn’t come out…but that’s okay – that’s how music works…people change, music styles change…but your favorite bands who were SINCERE about the music they play from the very beginning, will still be here rockin’ their stuff. 只有一個事情我覺得小小奇怪 – 就是演出的時候沒有見到很多以前的支持者。。。望着觀眾的時候感覺到好多人都是新的！這個事情是一個好棒的情況。。。所以只可以說謝謝！以前的觀眾不在，這個情況我們不能控制 – 希望他們將會回來支持我們。。。但是希望現在的觀眾多年後還在支持我們！
On to bigger and better things – we’re going to Malaysia on May 12! We are SO excited to FINALLY be back there and this time we’re playing with some of our great friends 好的 – 我們下場演出是在馬來西亞！太期待。。。到時我們跟這位好朋友同台:

All you need to do is remember the lyrics to our songs (Chinese versions of course) and fucking scream your hearts out…we’re not anything but ourselves – we’re just a hardcore band. 所有廣州的兄弟姐妹 – 最重要是來跟我們一起發泄。。。背好歌詞然後跟我們一起大合唱! 我們只是一隊簡單的hardcore樂隊。。。我們不是一隊喜歡加這個風格，那個風格，我們的音樂永遠是比較直接的。。。

Second Combat
Goddam – you guys down in Singapore and Malaysia have taken over our facebook!
Here’s a short interview and a glimpse of new music from one of my all-time straight edge hardcore bands – Second Combat! Whether asian or not – they are GREAT…the new music in the background sounds like the best stuff Second Combat has EVER put out!!! Just a few days away…只有多幾天然後到我們廣州專場!
Don’t know how many people are going to be at the show but it doesn’t matter…what matters is whoever DOES show up, shows up ready to fucking explode. Guangzhou has always been very good to us and we’ve been very excited to finally go back and do a PROPER show there…this will be our OWN show…there are some good bands opening for us – so that should be a good night all together! 我們還不清楚將會多少人來看我們廣州的專場 – 但是這也不是最緊要。。。最緊要就是來參加這個演出得人全部就準備好跟我們一起發泄！我們想看一個好大的爆炸。。。廣州永遠是對我們很好 – 好像真的瞭解到我們這個樂隊的歷史和意思。。。我們會好珍惜廣州人對我們的熱情。。。太開心能回來做一個特別的專場!
If any of you are interested to come with us to Guangzhou please let us know ASAP!!! It will be great for you guys to come up and enjoy King Ly Chee in a setting like this…如果你們香港人有興趣跟我們上去請馬上聯絡我們！
It’s been fucking BANE hours on my ipod for the past few weeks…so stoked that they’re coming back!!! So stoked that HK gets to watch a hardcore band again and see what it sounds and feels like…EXCITED!!! 這幾個禮拜不停聽BANE的歌。。。我也要準備自己因為五月二十三號他們將會回來香港演出！太興奮。。。我也太興奮因為香港人可以再有機會聽一聽一隊十分誠意的Hardcore樂隊!!! 太期待看他們的演出！！！
